Hello was just cleaning out some pumpkins for jack-o lanerns for hallo-ween

Yes and they will love you for it!
I have in years past, and they loved it! Particularly loved the seeds.
do you cook it first or just cut it in half and let them eat it?

I have just cut them open and put the pumpkins in the pen and the birds loved them.
My dh grew some this year,they are not real big,just placed it in the run they ate it all!
Raw is fine. Supposedly, pumpkin is good for digestion (laxative if constipated, firmer-upper if diarrhea) and helps prevent worms.
