Please excuse their awful haircuts. It was the first time I've ever given a chicken a haircut.
These two are now 5 1/2 months old. A few months back I was told pullet on both of them. Still not sure. No egg or crow from either of them. They are hatchery quality and that's fine by me.
This is Ellie Mae (she barely has any wattles and absolutely no comb, she showed earlobes much earlier than Jethro):
This is Jethro (wattles recently getting bigger, dark flat comb):
What's confusing me further is that Jethro stays with the rest of the flock, including the alpha cockerel, while Ellie Mae avoids the flock and the alpha.
