For Auction are 3 lavender juveniles (aprox 2.5 months old) 6 lavender split juveniles. They are all unsexed. These are all from the hatch and include the PQ as well as some that look like they will be VERY nice. One of the lavenders 2 outside toes are folded over I do not know if it is a birth defect or a genetic thing. I tried to fix it when it first hatched but it did not work. It has correct feet otherwise with 5 toes and can walk fine. the other 2 lavenders have very nice feet with 5 toes and good separation. One of the splits has a slight cross beak but it is hardly noticeable. I will not remove or switch out any of these chicks it is all or nothing. As you can see in the pics most have big vaulted sculls. Pics were taken 1/10/11
The lavenders are from my Black Lav split Roo and my lav hens (see pics below)
The Lav splits are from my PI project pen with a full lav roo over what is supposed to be all buff/lav splits but this particular combo threw a lot of this weird gray color and a red buff color instead of all PI. I have some pics below of a few I kept from another hatch to show you how they will fill in. They are certainly very pretty and should have lav in their genes as they are 3rd generation of birds having a full lav as a parents twice now.
I am not certified but I have had a closed flock/s for well over a year now and practice very strict bio security. I have had my birds tested and the only thing I personally have had to deal with so far is Mareks which is why I now vaccinate. I raise all my birds using only certified organic feed and organic remedies/treatments.
They will ship in in a new box express with shredded apples for the journey. I will only ship weather permitting on both ends this included below freezing temps. I have 24 hour heat pads and will be fixing one to box. I also have shipping waterers and will use one if the express trip will take more than 24 hours. I welcome pick ups! Cost of shipping with box is $55
Please E-mail me at [email protected] as I am swamped with work and family stuff and have not had time to be on BYC much these days.

Lavender split Roo and Lav Hens (where the lavs hatched from)
Lavender Roo and Buff/Lav splits (obviously some carrying a funky gene hence these weird colors) where the splits came from
Some splits from same flock as above that have grown out some this is what the splits in this batch will look like in a few months:
I have been working hard to try to get a nice rich lavender color on my birds. Because it is so hard to capture true color in photos I searched though all the paint samples I could find and came up with a color from Benjamin Moore. My breeder birds are either Hampshire Rocks #1450 or Violet Pearl #1451 (this is the color I am most happy with) both having overtones of After the rain #1452 and Pebble Creek #1453 in them. These are all on one card sample so you can get an idea of what to expect.
