Buddy of mine who lives a mile or so away finally stepped up and decided that maybe he should upgrade his coop. Actually I think his wife maybe decided that his craptastic shipping crate coop needed to go but I digress.
I gave him a rough materials list, he prepainted all the plywood before we started, and we locked ourselves in the shop for the day.
Floor framed, side walls, and one gable done.
Both gables, corner trim and roof framing done.
Pop door, nest box and roof complete (still need to trim out the side with the pop door and the nest box)
People doors, with shop built latch done.
Latch detail. This may get a revision before we're done but it works pretty good right now. All total this took the two of us just under 12 hours to get this far. Still need to add some winders, and build the base that it will set on. Hope to get this thing wrapped up this weekend in a few short hours.
