Former fire chief burned some rubbish by my house...

and it caught the field beside/behind me on fire...

hubby was out putting shingles on the chicken coop...
looked up and there was a wall of flames coming towards him...

had to call 911 and wow...the winds are like 20mph..I mean really..
that man must have no brains if he lit it on a day with winds like that..dumb dumb

Praise God that hubby was still up this late...he normally is in bed..can you even imagine
what would have happened if he was asleep inside the house???

Geez if you gotta burn, do it when there's no wind!

And make sure there's not stuff it can jump to, and that in general you're ready to take care of anything that could happen, quick.

I hope that guy learned a lesson.
 
Yeah I'm not sure why he isnt the fire chief anymore...I dont get into that gossipy stuff around here...

this was just two views of the field; this was behind our house to the side where the coop is...the side field by us is about 1/2 burnt...
the house behind us..the fire went right up to their white fence ..literally 1 ft away from it...
the house on the other side of the burnt field...for some reason it didnt catch fire..but it was right in their backyard!!

Caught 12 hay bales on fire of the farmer whose field it was....
still smoldering ...

I'm just singing Gods praises hubby was still up..if not..the fire trucks wouldnt have been here to put it out b4 catching houses on fire!
