Black Ducks?

Is there another solid black breed out there besides the runner? Because I ordered runners from Ideal and they are now 3 months old and they are not runners. They actually look like black pekins. Every once in a while they stand tall, but not like my other runners. And yes, my other runners are a mix of hatchery stock and some I hatched from a friends eggs.
 
Me thinks you need a different duck store.

Uhhh. Black east indies are small like call ducks, so those are out. It could be a Cayuga but they are slight in build, not like a heavy pekin. Do you happen to have pictures? We can give you a definant answer if we can see pics

It could just be a pet quality runner too.

Runners are a nervous/ flighty personality breed. Depending on how they were raised. I had a pet quality f/w runner that was a bent over fattie, lol
