Black Ducks?

Without a pic, its hard to say, but could be: Black Swedish(if it has a white chest), Cayuga(most likey if solid black) or Black east indie(doubtful)

might just be a really poor quality runner. My first black runner (that came from a TSC, that came from ideal) rarely stood upright and didn't have the right head shape of a runner. Her daughter thats a mix of mallard and runner, body wise she looks like a black mallard.

I am interested to know the answer too, because I have some that sound how you ddescribe, only one had really faint eye striping, and now she is black, but today I noticed she has a white spot around the neck, but she also has brown lacing around her breast like a dark khaki. Mine are from Ideal too, and I know they have khaki campbells, but mine is so dark, I can't say that's what she is, also my other one is black with a small white spot of center on the neck area. Both have dark legs and beak, so I am stumped

this is a pic of one, but all the light spots on the chest is fluff growing out, the feathers on the chest aren't white

It could be a cayuga with white on it, but that eyestripe says swedish to me. Ideal isn't exactly known for good quality birds.

Take this pic for example, the cayuga (from a TSC, thats from Ideal) has brown tinge on the chest, the bill is the wrong color, and he has orange legs!! not to mention the fact that he has a white patch on his neck on the opposite side (of course you can't see it in the picture

) o and did i mention he had white tipped speculum feathers.
