Blue Wheaten/ Wheaton/ Splash Ameraucanas 3wks old: pullet or roo?

These two chicks are from Jeremy. Any experts on this breed who can tell me if I have boys or girls? Also, are they Blue Wheaten, Wheaten, or Splash?

They are both the exact same size, and both have full tailfeathers. The yellow one has always been a bit darker in the feathers, and there is some charcoal grey on the yellow one which makes me worry he is a roo?

They were born around 2/25/11.

Not sure by your pictures. I'll be watching to see what the experts say. I have 11 babies of my own born only 3 days before yours!

I'm 95% positive the chick on the right (bottom picture) is a Wheaten cockerel.

The other on the left, I'm still unsure of.

I agree, and the one on the left might be a blue wheaten roo. Watch for more dark blue coming in on it's back.

I have been suspicious of them both for a while now, as they seems dark for hens. At least Jeremy's Roo's are handsome.....but I really wanted a pullet.

I thought if all the chest feathers were tan they were females, and only if they had dark in the chest feathers they were males...

They don't have a lot of chest feathers yet, so I can wait another week and post more pictures. They are only a bit over 3 weeks old, so I may have to be patient for another week. However, I worry they might both be roo's....darn it....

Take a good look at their combs.

What do you see?

If you see three rows of peas, then it is a cockerel.

If you barely see any peas, maybe one row - chances are strong that you have a pullet.

From what I can see - the last picture, chick on right has 3 rows of peas and a wide comb - cockerel. Hard to see comb of chick on left.
