Just candled, and I found these two problem eggs. The porous egg was
laid by my 'newbie' layer, and has veins and is developing nicely. But
then I found this egg, with a huge blood ring. You can't see that much
from the picture, but beside from the blood ring, the egg looks weird
in the middle, so the embryo is deffinatly no longer alive. I couldn't get a
picture of the entire blood ring, because it goes all the way around the egg,
and ends at the air sac. I'm thinking about cracking it open before I throw it out, but
I don't want the egg to explode on me...Heres some pictures:

Theres actually veins and development in this egg, which we did not expect
'cause the mom and dad are really young.

And for the heck of it, heres a picture of one of the eggs that are doing great.
