Hi! We finally got our coop and run finished enough to post. We still need to paint two sides and build out the nest boxes on the right side. It is so nice to just go out in the morning and open their hatch to let them out to the run. We used some old windows and a door that we got from a junk store. It is nice because we can open both sets of windows that are on each side and have a breeze (it gets hot here in the south.) Here are several pics of the start and finish. And some of our chickens!

We already had to add on the back before it was even finished!

Very beautiful coop.
Love the whole thing, color, style, details.
It's funny, some coops look nicer than houses...
Or at least my house..hahahahahah

I should copy the extiror plans and come up with a house design for myself to live in...
Just me and my chickens living in there....No kids, no hubby, no fighting, screaming, taunting, or tantrums. Oh wait...that's me!!!!!

Thanks, all. The inside dimensions are now 8 by 12. We have 20 chickens, and we wanted to make sure we had enough elbow room for all of them plus any extras that may come along since we found out one of our babies is a roo. Here is a pic of our five youngest-all EE's and one definite roo- possibly two...

Thanks. It all started with the base that was in another part of our yard, destined to be a screened room for a swing. Well, it didn't get finished, and we decided to get chickens, and the base got moved and made into a coop! DH decided to make a little porch on the front, and that's when we realized the interior probably would be cramped. So he added on to the back. The run was designed to fit around some trees. We are really pleased with how it turned out!
