These are just days old and we already love them. They are easily the most cuddle-able bird we've had. Where chicks and ducks want to get down right away, these geese just sort of nestle in and relax. And don't get me started on how soft and silky they are. Their chocolate feet and beaks are way too cute too. They do seem a bit clumsy here at first, but maybe its just how big they are when they are first hatched.
We know Africans can be loud but we actually wanted that. We like to hear the animals even today when we step outside we have to yell for the roosters to crow for us. And the visitor alerts will be great (we had someone steal an older riding lawnmower sitting in the fenced part of the farm). We're going to make it a point to handle and play with them so they stay friendly to us.
