You might remember my chicks from this post https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=53418&p=1

Well it's been a little over 2 weeks and they've started taking short trips outside. Here are the RIRs and white silkies outside.

I love looking at your pictures that you post! It just absolutely amazes me how you can get those sweet little chicks to pose for you every time!!! Mine won't behave that well.

Wow - your photography is stunning. I love all of your pictures. You capture some great shots.. I especially love the photos of the first set of chicks you posted in your earlier thread. They really look like Chick Models, posing perfectly just for you! You are really talented. And your chicks are really adorable!

Coffeegirl, I used a Canon 30D with a 70-300 lens. The only reason I chose a telephoto lens is b/c when I used a shorter lens the RIR babies would come squawking and running to me and hide underneath me. With the 70-300 I could be across the yard from them.
 
Thanks for the kind comments. I was sad today that it won't be much longer before all the chicks are in their ugly dinosaur stage and won't be great models anymore. Then I went outside and saw that my 8 month old hen went broody (I thought she stopped laying b/c she was molting) and is sitting on 13 eggs. So more babies to photograph soon!
