Do I have a sick CHICK?

Sounds like "normal" chick-speak to me.

They'll sure come up with some doozies, too. The first time one of our 6 week old cockerals attempted his first crow, I was sure something was trying to kell him...talk about having a near heart attack!

Hope this helps!

I have a recording of all 6 of my girls making their separate noises at the same time. it is too funny. The other day when they were getting rowdy, I played the recording in the room with them and they got all quiet and were looking around. They are too cute.

This is just a personal note but I've noticed that chicks hatched from our own incubated eggs don't suffer from Pasty Butt at all or atleast not as much as those chicks that we had shipped in from a hatchery, which went through the stress of shipping.

Clean off the Pasty with warm water soaked on a paper towel or rag, then apply mineral oil/baby oil to the "problem" chicks bum/butt and the pooh won't stick. If you don't clean their butts of this problem, it will cause and can cause the death of the chick with this problem due to bowel blockage.
