we bought our girls from the local feed company and they are production reds. Scooter the rooster however isnt a production red what is he?
suggestions?

He looks like a Welsummer or a Brown Leghorn, but I cant see the earlobes. If they are red, he's probably a Wellie, but if white, a Brown Leghorn. Someone else may have a differing opinion, though. Here are a few pics of my five week old Welsummer cockerels for comparison:

This may sound retarded but I LOVE his legs! They are so golden. I haven't had wellie's, but just from his stature/comb appearance at this age, I'd lean towards the brown leghorn....but the wellie's certainly DO look alot like him too....
Have to watch him grow
