Here is mine:

It is far from our regular poultry area that is fenced in w/6 foot high privacy fence.

I've never had sick birds. However, foot/leg injuries and other types of injuries, bumblefoot birds go into one of the hospital cages in the garage for isolation til they're healed. All the cages are mainly for major hurricane evacuation.

I quarantine any new birds I acquire in the Quarantine pen for 30 days. If you are NPIP you must do this. If not, it is still recommended if you don't want your new birds to pass on diseases to your main flock.

I agree with the quarantine, but why the length being 30 days. Is there a specific disease that has a 30 day incubation period? If so, what is it?
