I set 50 coturnix Sep 30 at around 5:00 in the evening. Should they be at least pipping by now??

You can't hurry them. I'd give them atleast another day, maybe two, before I got too worried. I know, waiting is the hardest part especially at this point in the incubation. Good luck with your hatch, maybe you'll wake up tomarrow to a bator full of babies.

I sure do hope so. First hatch out of my homemade bator since my modifications.

They should take 18 days, so tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning they'll probably start hatching.

Incubation is around 17-18 days for Coturnix, and most leave them for 3 or so days after that to make sure they hatch.

I set mine on the 29th. Had a few hatch at 16 days.. and here and there over the weekend, and 2 more this morning. I think they enjoy making us guess and wait. lol...

If you set them on the 30th, then today is your 17th day, so don't give up on them!

I hope you have a great hatch!

thanks for all the support. i am just nervous about my bator. want it to work at 100%!!!

What kind of bator? Is it homemade?

I think hatch time is nerve racking no matter what! LOL!

I have the havobator genisis 1588. Love it! But still am pacing the floor!
