Offered in this auction are 4 paint juveniles from our paint on paint breeding pen. The genetics of paints is still not completely understood. Because these juveniles are from paint to paint breeding, they are perfect to cross on nice blacks. With the black to paint breedings, we are getting approximately 50-60% spotted babies and the remaining blue or black. We believe that at least some of these solid babies carry the paint gene. We have not gotten to the point of breeding the solids together yet, but several paint breeders have and are getting spotted babies. When crossing the paints to black, the skin color is deepened, the pink pigment holes on the bottoms of their feet are gone, eyes are black. It is my understanding from a paint breeder that she is crossing paints on recessive whites and getting awesome paints!

This is a great opportunity to secure some nice paints to begin or build your paint breeding program. These are young kids and are sold as straight run. I have described each one below. At the very bottom are pictures of the parent birds.

Shipping is $55.00 and includes a new Horizon box. Please be sure you understand the risks of shipping as no refunds can be made for shipping issues. I include a large dish of feed and shipping waterers to help ensure their safe arrival. Pick up is welcome.

We are NPIP certified. Each birds is vaccinated against Mareks Disease at hatch. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.

These kids went out into a turnout paddock for the first time last Saturday and are now living with Uncle Blue Boy...our sweetheart cuckoo silkie babysitter. He was hatched with a crossbeak and we never used him as a breeder, but he has been the most incredible babysitter for all the juveniles for the past 2 years. He has raised a BUNCH of kids. He is so sweet calling all of them to treats when we come through with mealworms, bread, pie, etc....

I spent some time in their paddock with them yesterday and couldn't believe how much better they look than they did when I took the pictures last week! I will try to get out there after Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and take some better pics of them.
