Note the blood on the wing, sign of cannabalism, once I got them out of the brooder and into the pen they have been laying on eachother and not pecking!

Looks good! Sounds like your birds were feeling crowded/or were crowded in the brooder. I never had a problem with cannibalism with any of my Gamebirds....but maybe I'm just lucky.
SPACE SPACE SPACE is the key to all gamebirds and you are learning all the tips and tricks to make you successful now and in the future!

Great lil pen there ticks..they should do good for you. remember you can put peepers on them also and that will help keep them inline..How many you got in there and do you plan to keep them as pets..??

There is about 2 dz. three got out.

we aer fixing it. My german shorthair pointer found one! So now there is 2 missing. One flew away so he is gone. The other I am going to go flush out now with my black lab. Wish me luck! We kinda figured something wouldn't work and now we are fixing it!
 
Thats how most things work, you learne from your mistakes.. Beleive me ive been there and done it all..

Im sure your labby will locate them if they didnt burn up land and vacate the area....

We keep hearing him peep and I turned around and he was ri ght there, as soon as I could get my gamebird net he was off. He will be back.
 
As long as he knows the others are in the pen he will keep coming back. If you see him there during the day....maybe let him be...and snatch him at night. My bet is he will lay down next to the pen at night.
