I just can't seem to get the knack of the Hovabators either. Thanks for the tip!!! I just hope Meyer has them in stock and I can pick it up tomorrow. Waiting until it's shipped will kill me (impulse buyer; can ya tell?)

Fine, be that way.

Yup.

I don't know anyone with one of these but I do know people with
Sportsmans and have never heard 1 bad thing about them. However,
since I am a Brinsea fan, I have to wonder about these.

Get yourself that Sportsman and enjoy it.

Let me know when you get it so I can send you some quail eggs.

I had the Brinsea Ova 380 and have to say, I like the GQF Sportsman better. More sturdy design, stable humidity and better customer service. Just my experience with the two.

I can't tell you guys thanks enough for your input. I was very hesitant to spend the money but this is something I really enjoy and I want to do it well. The styrofoam bators just aren't doing it well enough for me. Maybe I'm a bit of a perfectionist but the way I see it, a 75% hatch isn't good enough.

PC - I'll let you know when I get it and am ready for those eggs!!!! I'll trade ya and we can improve our bloodlines. Inbreeding is kinda icky.

Excellent point. I am considering adding a Dickey to my bator collection. I've heard great things about them as well.
