There is a hybrid called a "Bluebell" in Britain that is a Maran / RIR cross. So "Blue Sex-link" is definitely possible! (They are also beautiful!)

There ARE blue barred rocks. There must be a way for that to be a sex-link. Wow- what gorgeous birds!

Thanks! I looked around at the "Bluebell" hens and it does appear similar. :-)

Maybe the blue sex link is more common in the UK?
