Fowl Fest is October 10 & 11th in Frankenmuth, MI. Here is a link for more info: http://www.fowlfest.org/ There is info on the site about showing, selling, hotels, camping, etc.

If there is interest, we will start organizing!!

Hey, Vicki - you mentioned you would be camping...is there, do you know, any type of pavillion area that we might be able to use for a few hours one of the days?

Yes, we are thinking of camping, but have never been to the campground before. I could email or call them to see if they have a pavilion we could use. It does have a fee for visitors that are not registered though, $3 each, I think. I can ask about that. Another option is to see if there is a pavilion or spot at or near Fowl Fest itself.

I will let everyone know what I hear on the the campground.

The campground site says it has a clubroom for groups with over 10 sites!

OK, so who is up for camping??? Come on, it would be fun and then we would have use of the club house!!!

Hummmm, we thought we just had our last camping trip for the year last weekend.... I'll talk to DH about this and see if he wants to do another quick run......

Pine Ridge, it is only $34 a night and it has showers, though they are pay showers.

The first one had no price listed and no showers. Jellystone's cheapest site was $51 a night and while I am sure they are really nice, $34 seemed much more reasonable, even if I have to pay a couple of bucks for a shower.

There is plenty of space at the show itself to get together, as long as the weather is nice. If anyone wants to sell or buy chickens, they have a place at the show to do so. Chickens need to be plurummem(spelled wrong) tested before they can be sold.

There is a place that sells lunch there too.

Good to know! We didn't make it last year, wanted to but something came up. It would still be fun to camp with a bunch of BYC'ers!! Plus it would give us a place to go in case of nasty weather, after all, this is Michigan!
