I read a post a while back about eggs lossing weight during incubation, so I thought I would set a batch and weigh on the same day that I candle well yesterday was day 7 so here is the original and the first candling I will probably do day 14 and possibly 18 as I put them in hatcher. All measurements are in ounces.

Egg 1- set 1.96 day 7 1.84 (-.12) veining and movement
Egg 2- set 2.02 day 7 1.92 (-.10) veining and movement
Egg 3- set 2.08 day 7 1.94 (-.14) possible begining of blood ring or a very BIG vein
Egg 4- set 2.02 day 7 1.89 (-.13) good veining
Egg 5- set 2.12 day 7 1.98 (-.14) good veining

I use a toliet paper roll cut into 1/4ths to set the egg in while weighing tare back to 0.00 weigh then candle also gives me and extra hand while candling.

Egg 1- set 1.96 day 7 1.84 (-.12) day 14 1.75 (-.09)veining and movement
Egg 2- set 2.02 day 7 1.92 (-.10) day 14 1.82 (-.10)veining and movement
Egg 3- set 2.08 day 7 1.94 (-.14) day 14 1.82 (-.10)looks good still
Egg 4- set 2.02 day 7 1.89 (-.13) day 14 1.79 (-.10)good veining and movement
Egg 5- set 2.12 day 7 1.98 (-.14) day 14 1.79 (-.09)good veining

I use an LG 9200 Still air until this weekend and I will put in my variable speed computer fan rig up that my husband better get the wire nuts or connector for. I am an electrophobe.
