What did you do in the garden today?

It was 80 here today. Felt like it. First time wearing shorts this year!

I finally made a screen door for my chicken coop. Need to paint it, mount it, and all that jazz. But it fits. Soon I won't have to use that big gate as a "screen"

I had meant to plant the coffee today, but I neglected to check the packet until I went to check the planting depth and apparently it needs to soak for two days! So I guess that’s going to be a Tuesday thing. At least I got the pot prepped.

Lol, I did the same thing with my jicama seeds. Everything else planted in the cells, and started soaking the jicama seeds that I'd forgotten to soak first. I then promptly forgot about them for 3 days, lol. I spotted them on the table, and reminded myself to plant them as soon as I finished cooking dinner. Oops, forgot them again! Seeds seemed fine, but we'll see if anything comes up. Now lets just hope I remember to water them

Cleaned out the seed shed in the garage. It's a raided 6x8 foot storage area where I built shelves for grow lights and seed mats and trays. It has electric and a potting table, which also had lights and a workspace. Since I'm only growing for me now and not sales, I decided to sell everything I'm not using and put a nice shop table work station for DH's small electronic tools and soldering things for computers. It's far cleaner up in the garage than down in the workshop for him to work on computer and electronic things. I'll get him another larger table / shop station for the wood shop. Now the weather just needs to get a tiny bit warmer for me to work and clean out there.

Oh thanks, I have never heard of or tasted scotch eggs before. I will try it.

I use minced meat instead of sausage and make a roll with 4-5 eggs in a row. I bake it in the oven instead of frying.
