I found a section of tapeworm in a nest yesterday. It looked exactly like a flat 4 inch piece of cooked macaroni. I last treated my hens early September 09 with wazine,then 3 weeks later followed up with ivermectin pour on. Yesterday I treated them with wazine and after 2 weeks i'll give them safeguard(Fenbendazole) which should take care of the tapeworms. I need advice as to dosage. I have some large hens and small hens. My thinking is that I give the large hens a medium pea size dose and the small hens a BB size dose. What is the withdrawal time for egg consumption for Safeguard? The clerk at the feed store told me it was one month. I'd like feedback on this subject also. Many thanks!
