Gower's Feed in Ranson has invited us to host a Chickenstock on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 8am- noon. We will be setting up on the outside of their parking lot. The same rules apply as if you were showing at the fair or attending an auction. In-state birds must be tested for pollorum-typhoid. Linda, who works at Gower's, is a state tester and will be testing birds in the morning. If you are not npip, please arrive early to get tested. Out-of-staters must also get tested for avian influenza no more than 10 days prior to event.

Oooohhhh. I don't have a horse show that weekend. And it's only 2 1/2 hours away. And I need an excuse to fire up the incubators again...right?

If Tammy's on one side of Erin, I call dibs on the other so I can be "poolside," too.

I'll have lav and split blk orpingtons chicks , BLRW roo or roos- older 6 months and pullets -chicks hatch 6-2-10, 2 blue marans roos FS and hopefully some EE's too.
My americana will be with the lav. orp. roo so who knows what color the chicks will be. I have to sell to make up what I spent on food and breeding stock. Oh you might want to post where Gowers feed store is for those that don't know. I hope more people will be there then the last sale buyers and sellers.

Thanks!

...Is making a list and checking it twice...everybody sing!

Kittens
2 black silkie roos
1 splash silkie roo
1 single comb silkie chick (how did that happen) - shipped eggs
2 LF Orpington Trios
1 cuckoo silkie chick (4 toes each foot) just born 2 days ago - shipped eggs

If anyone wants some orpington chicks, let me know and I will incubate some. I have buff, blue, black, and splash. No lavs available at this time.

We never have enough. I even bring feed bags. They work just fine for small chickens as they cannot fly straight up. Also, I always bring a net for the escapees. If someone else has a net...please pack it.

Remember that it will likely be hot and sunny. If you have some type of shade/shelter your birds will appreciate it along with lots of water.

Peachick, please try to come ... If there is no way to get out of it, I am open to changing the date to either one week before or after depending on how many others would be down with that.

I would like the week before better. then I could go to family reunion and my sons b-day is the 18th and its his 16th. so that would be great if you could move it. I also hope peachick can make it I have 3 chicks (min) I want to get from her. thanks for the offer to move it!
