My schedule is fairly open for all Saturdays in July at this point. Just remember that I need homes for at least 10 kittens!
Time for a little story...gather 'round...I cannot for the life of me tell the difference between male and female kittens. We free feed our cats outside as they are in charge of pest control on our property. When a stray joins the clan, we catch it (or at least try to) and have it altered. There is this one yellow and white that is smarter than we are. Last year, Christopher caught her 4 babies. We hand fed them. Some of you may have seen them at the Frederick Show as they camped there with us. All were given homes sans one. Dillon. Chris fell for Dillon, so we kept him. Now with male kitties...I usually wait until they spray or show before making their appointment for the vet....You guessed it....Dillon is a girl. Know how I figured it out? Yep! After she was pregnant.
Now lets not forget it's feral momma who we cannot capture. She had 7 kittens in Dave's bass boat about 3 weeks ago I am guessing by the size of the kittens. They are now in my house. We left them with momma long enough to get the vital nutrients they need to survive then we stole them from her so they did not take on her feral ways.
Back to Dillon. He/she decided to have 3 kittens so far today. She found a safe spot inside my SHREDDER in the office. You know, the type that opens in the back. She nestled down on that shredded paper and gave birth.
Christopher is home sick today but decided to be kitten rescuer! I am one of the leading members of Heart Strings Animal Rescue/Rehoming group and I now have 10 kittens. What is wrong with this picture?
What do you think of this idea...
1 for Wyatt
1 for Roen
1 for Tonya's son as a b-day present
1 for Kat and 1 for Maria as they are from out-of-state
Down to 5
