Whether it crows or sings the egg song, it will always be as beautiful as a rose!

Polly will never be changing homes .... as she lives a life of luxury (under lock and key in a secret location)!
Miss Holly, on the other hand, refuses to be locked up! She thinks she is a lap chicken, and refuses to go to roost at night until she has her goodnight hugs from everyone! Spoiled girl, that one!

I hear ya about the spoiled ones...Rose will be spoiled rotten for sure.

Thor will not let anyone else pick him up for "Night Night"...he runs Cheyenne all over the yard trying to corner and catch him....so I have to go out and get him to put him in for the night. LOL

They may only have a brain the size of a pea, but they are smarter than alot of people give them credit for! I really have to get a recent picture of Miss Holly. She is so perfect, and so sweet! Her little comb is getting red, and the boys are showing an interest. I have had the little birds and bees talk with her, and she is simply not interested!

Polly, on the other hand, is so knock-out beautiful, she plays the field. She has the boys all a droolin' and dancin' for her affections! AND, she loves the attention (of them, not humans!)...

A picture of Miss Polly today, at 24 weeks old. She is very much a loner. The other girls usually hang out in groups, or at least in pairs. Not Miss Polly though, she prefers solitude.

She is giving me the evil eye. She does not like to be photographed. I ran all over the yard trying to get a single picture!

I don't know if this is her egg or not, but she got off the nest when I came in, and this was there. I have only a couple layers that don't lay dark dark (Marans) eggs in this coop.

Next to a Delaware egg .... It weighed 90 grams.

Updating Roosevelt's pic since he is 10 weeks old now. His legs are as large as a full grown Orp hen's. Look at this hunky child! Someone, take him, puleeeeze! LOL. He's living in the old ladies' coop and I don't want him still in there when his hormones begin raging.
