Hard indeed. Though, my almanac calendar has a warm spell slated in early March. 50/50 chance it's right and if it is that could certainly break up the monotony.

I saw the cutest thing today at Wally World. A baby, no more than 18 months old was sitting in the seat of the buggy/shopping cart and was very intently "reading" The Shooters Bible.

I've got about 35-40 Speckled Sussex eggs in my bator right now...due to hatch out on the 28th. I'm planning on hatching throughout the spring and summer. I just changed out roo's so this next batch will have a different sire. I'm waiting to hear back from a breeder in Indiana but I'm supposed to be getting some new hens (and possibly some more hatching eggs) from him which will bring in new genetics!

I talked to my DH, when I get paid next week we're going to send the people who had him, and called us, a gift card or some cash for keeping him safe.

Thanks again to all of you here who offered help and support.
