WOOT!

i just got a old english red bantam hen to go with my red jungle foul mix. unfortunately i had to also buy the old english silver lace duckwing with her... the tiny fellow sounds like a kazoo! though he did try to take on my red, so i have to give him props, even though it is/was sad the two new ones i got in a bid war over, have scale mite and something else so bad toes and feet are messed up. treated for scale mites as soon as got them home, and this morn, looked and acted worlds better already. unfortunately i found out my hen, who a bunch of people want around here, and saying she is a fighting line from cid taelor, or however creatively its spelled, is vicsious to the poor tint new bantam girl today, but then again havent tried after "clucky" laid her clockwork egg today at ten. also caught another strat rooster outside the auction from woods, so wondering what should do with it.

i forget the address but its almost right off downtown, were buffelo trail meets cumberland. you can get some great deals, and livestock if not before auction, usually are fertile by time go up for auction. you do have to go through and thoroughly inspect what you intend to bid on, as scale mite and frostbite seem to be bad suddenly for chickens, and goats/sheep can be injured while kept together in pens, as alot ive seen huge mean billies either gotten loose or not tied to corral at all, attack and injure the whole time waiting to be sold, on a pygmy baby billy.

I think its just called morristown auction. live stock auction starts at six, so be there earlier to check in if buying or selling, and check out what they have. foul and goat/sheep are going really cheap at times, as so much lately, everyone seems to be trying to get rid of them. for a month now laying and point of lay welsummer and another kind commonly sought after (forget which one right now), roos and hens, going for dollar to dollar fifty.

Get her on over here. LOL I wouldnt have known. Had one of you not told me.

Didn't someone around here want some dark egger hens?

Anybody want to buy an instant olive egger flock? 2 wheaten marans hens, 2 welsummer hens, 1 wheaten ameraucana hen and 1 blue wheaten ameraucana rooster. All are 1 year old or just a bit less. Marans have great egg color and when crossed with the blue wheaten ameraucana rooster will create all wheaten and blue wheaten olive eggers. Hatch the dark eggs and get all olive eggers. Hatch the blue eggs and get pure ameraucanas (wheaten or blue wheaten).

Was asking $150 on craigslist and got an offer for $100. I know i highballed it at $150 but figured I would see what I got.

If I am going to sell them for $100, would rather sell them to someone I know though!

Wheaten Ameraucana eggs on top. Marans eggs on far right (great egg color). I think the top terracotta egg is a a wellie egg but not sure as I also have a wellie mix also.

in 2 weeks and a few days.

I didn't read all previous posts yet, just skimmed, but we are in Washington County, near the Greene County line. Upper East TN.

I'm not a duck person. Course I didn't know that until I bought them. They are messy and destructive and quite honestly I need to downsize and they would make a big dent in the noise, mess, feed intake.

Want some ducks? LOL
