wish i was closer. i'd love them for you. Mine are kept at my DH's relatives, in an unused corner of the property. I go there every day to spend time and care for them. That's why i have the camper coop; someday i'll get my "forever" home. Sigh.

Ok, now i have a question. I have what i think is a Favorolle rooster, (not show quality, but pretty) who has extra toes. If i were to put him with one of my EE hens would the chicks have extra toes too? He has partially feathered feet as well. Here is what i'm thinking:

She lays pink eggs, and i heard fav's lay beigy-white eggs, so i'm hoping for more pink eggers.....?

Anyone remember my Frizzled Easter Egger I mentioned/showed a little while ago? Well, she's officially a girl, and here's her now

She'll lay sky blue eggs in just a couple more months.

Her "normal" half-sister, currently laying:

And here's a comparison on egg color. The green and brown eggs are just for contrast; the white egg is from the Polish side of her parents. The bright blue egg further to the left is from her Ameraucana mom. Her eggs are the two blues between. Being that her mom lays the richest/darkest blue I've known, she lays a pretty nice, average but good blue egg.

Here's my oldest EE male from this Polish x Ameraucana breeding. I nicknamed him Wolverine for now, because of his spunky split crest. He just recently survived a raccoon attack. After a series of late night/early morning attacks, he's the only tailed bird who has survived. But he's missing his tail now.

frizzles always kinda remind me of the muppets somehow. Cute! I kinda like that green egg too. I like all the colors that EE's come up with!
My first flock was lost to coons. I only had one rooster survive, and that was because i had my DH lock him in my camper; the coons were actually getting the birds WHILE he patrolled the woods. The next night he had a buddy stay up with him and they waited and ended up getting 10 of the suckers; they had called in the family! They are VERY persistant once they've found chickens. Walked right by an open dish of grain just for them. I ended up converting the camper into a coop, and now my new flock is locked up safe at night. (The camper was really old anyway)

Hey all! We you all were right! All 4 of my beautiful EE's are roo's! AAAHHH!!!
