RIP little Manny - 2000?-10/8/12 found him on the side of the road back in 2005, being beaten up by a cat( It looked like 2 cats at the time) On my way back he was still there on the side of the road by himself. I pulled over and called out to him, he came scampering right up to me. We then went door to door up and down the whole street. No one wanted or claimed him. I took him home and what I found shocked me. He had a flea collar on so tight that he must have been thrown out/lost when he was still a pup. Whatever was on him was nasty enough to remove my nail polish! I bathed him and brought him to the vet for a check up and to be fixed. They estimated that he was about 4 or 5 at the time. ~ I already had a female fixed dog & for about 6 months he stayed with my cats and never went near her. Finally one day he realized that he loved her and gave us his first bark. We got to enjoy about 7 yrs together. He was truly one of a kind & we will always have him in our hearts <3
