I ordered 4 barred rock and 4 golden comets...I have 4 barred rocks and 5 golden comets? The person I ordered them from said she did that just incase one of the chicks didn't make it...so far all 9 of them have been just fine :D.
I am new to raising chickens but was around my Uncle's home who raised chickens and turkeys in his backyard my entire life. I inherited 2 more chicks we suspect to be red sex links. Bringing the grand total to 11 in the flock. I am posting this album hoping to determine the sex and breed if you see anything you think you can help with bring it on! I am certainly NO EXPERT and would love the help :D
IKR!! I am a member of a site on facebook for the town that I live in where people sell things, buy things and trade yadda yadda...kinda like our local version of freecycle. Anywho she posted chicks for sale and I decided it would be good therapy for me..
.something to do and keep me busy at home since the doctors won't let me drive...(I had a stroke about 6 weeks ago) and I met and ordered from her. I wanted 4 barred rocks and 4 golden comets...when she delivered them to me she brought 4 barred rocks and 5 golden comet chicks....I didn't even notice that there were 9 instead of 8.... I told the "lady" & she said she did that just in case one didn't make it =) I was cool with that. Then a relative of mine had 2 chicks that needed a good home so we adopted them bringing the grand total to 11
