Before we even had the Coop finished I made a Roosting area with tree limbs from the forested area of our yard and zip-tied and screwed them to the tarp shaded area that once housed a Doberman in a dog house and pen.

Goldie or "Golda Meir" is our Buff Orpington and is a bit shy and late to the party as are most that are at the bottom of the pecking order. She seems to mind her P's and Q's but gets curious as well as the others do.

All of the girls were curious when I fully opened up the coop to take some photos of it.

Bikini is our Banty EE and is about 1/4 the size of our larger chickens. I thought it would be interesting to see how a "Banty" did among full sized chickens. She definitely holds her own and gets preferential treatment from me and Red/Rhonda our RIR.

Goldie, my Buff Orpington seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order but every so often she gets brave or hungry enough to assert herself into the fray with the bigger "chicks". They are about 4 to five months old here.
