New litter put down today under the roosts.
Deep litter is starting to work well this fall after being too dry all summer long for good decomposition.

Blosl male with his fall progeny. Four XW cross WR pullets and three mutt crossings with hatchery BA. There were originally 12 in this hatch, all females, but a migrating Cooper's Hawk took out 5 of them within just a couple of weeks time. They are 9 wks old in this pic.
