@WitchyCatlady That particle board is as old as the shed - probably a decade from looking at the condition of the siding, doors and trim, all of which are repaired or getting repaired by me. I'm not too worried at this point about VOCs because they're long gone by now.
However, I will not purchase particle board - I honestly hate the stuff but it was there from an old built in shelf from the shed manufacturer.
