Finally made progress on permanent run fence.I dug all 9 of the fence post holes! Just little ole 66 year me with a spade!Dh and I concreted them in.[1 to go] Two sides of run are done.Omlet poultry netting keeps them in other parts.Will add a roof for rainy winters at some point.

Made a sign with the girls' names and hung it on the side of the run.

The girls spend most of the day here[when not free ranging] in this bark chip area. Digging for worms.Making dust baths.Sheltering from sun or rain under a line of Fejoa trees.I rake it over every week or two and every few weeks add some Bokashi mix to aid decomposition and keep down smells.

Had a poster laminated.Attached it to feed bin with blutack.

Perhaps this will inspire the slackers! End of winter here everyone coming back into lay after the moult.
