Not sure how except I lost Rhoda on the 12th of that same month & year to a Hawk. I saw her stuck in his claws :( I cried so hard at her loss cuz she was always w/ me.
Dies 6/4/13 to a stupid racoon who tried again the nest night and Dad got it. But not before it hurt the eyes of Sofie. We're hoping for the best.
We lost Chaz on 6/5/13 to a 35 pd. Raccoon that found a little, little hole and ate her from bum hole to chest plate! As I walked into their cage, she was laying there looking toward the wall so I couldn't see her face at first. I spoke to her to wake up but once I got close to her and saw what he's done to her "My Most Favorite at that time" I wanted to kill what ever did that to her! How could they ruin such a beautiful bird! How Could He!
This is how I give my girls some grass. Its made from 2x4's=4x4 feet square w/ 1x1 deer netting from Lowes on top. I lay it down where I want it, w/ bricks in the center, to keep the girls from stretching the screen apart when they get on top. I sprinkle loam into it and then I sprinkle in some grass seed. Water n wait, and in a few weeks their eating what's sprouting threw and as it grows they keep it trimmed! I pick up and carry to another spot once I want to give them the royal treatment!
