Here is the interior of the coop after some cleanup and with four new nest boxes installed. The nest boxes are made from re-purposed fence wood. The "ladder" could be replaced, but fundamentally as soon as I get feed, water, and pine shavings in here (and eventually straw for the nests) the building is ready for my birds.

Here is the "chicken door" with new door, new plywood facing, and re purposed barrel bolt. I got rained out before I could move the chickens into the coop, but this would have been the day except for the rain.
Here is the same door, with a better view of the frame repairs.
Here is another repair. The chicken door was rotted, as was the frame and much of the bottom 24" of the siding. It was still structurally good, but lacks a certain "curb appeal." The door will have a bolt on the outside and it will open directly into their run.
Just being silly
Here are the chicks (some of them) after being here six days. They arrived last Tuesday 2/18 and today is Monday 2/24.
My chicks arrived today. Red sex links from Ideal Poultry. I placed them in the brooder with no mishaps (yay!). The found their feed and water with no problem. After just a short period of "huddling" they began to spread out and enjoying their new digs.
