Someone suggested when I introduced myself in that portion of the forum that I begin to "show" my project as I learn from this website and work on the project. Here it is as we found it. Lots of restoration necessary. My son suggested I remodel with a wrecking ball, but I think the buildings are structurally sound. They need a lot of cleanup before we begin inviting any chickens to stay there. The individual photos also have brief comments.
Those last 4 look like they might be a roost bar with a ramp for the chickens to use, a feeder or waterer with a top to prevent their sitting on the top and pooping, maybe a row of open top nest boxes, and maybe an old wooden feeding trough.
If anyone is still willing to help, I've managed to clear out the place a little better. There are florescent light fixtures above the area in the lower right picture (the one Flockwatcher thought might be a feeding trough). There were also some corn cobs, which makes me think perhaps the chickens ate there from time to time. The area in the lower right pic and the lower left pic are the same structure. There is a "chicken ladder" that goes up to the roost. I wonder if the area was primarily for sleeping?
