Joni, we don't know what you have to be able to give you ideas. I'm assuming if you have grass problems, yours are penned and they may eat the grass to the dirt if it's too small.
Can you make it larger or make a second one you alternate them to while the first one regrows? You could also feed them greens like kale, lettuce, swiss chard, cukes, to save on the grass. We grow most of this in our garden, for us and them.
