Ran out of clear roofing and clear vinyl so used the old water heater door from my mobile home. Glad we saved it for scrap metal. It has worked out really great, although ugly. Maybe I can pretty it up over the summer. Note the old "Ron Paul" sign used to breach the gap between the old water heater door and the vinyl covered access doors under the coop. Again, ugly but functional.

Charlie Sheen was my "model" for the Christmas present I sewed for my nephew for his chickens. HE is the Steeler's fan. I am an avid RAVENS fan. Of course, we are rival teams. I cannot believe I made those things for him!!

As you can see, I put the tractor right by the back door for ease of getting to them in the cold. You can also see that I get a very good view of them from my dining room window where I tend to sew a lot. Metal garbage can holds their feed and there is an old kitty liter bucket that is used to put kitchen scraps and chicken droppings in to take to compost pile.

Used adhesive backed Velcro on wood and sewed the other piece to the clear vinyl and put together. The thought was that I could then pull it on and off when needing access to the sand box area. Didn't work out well because once it became really cold the adhesive no longer wanted to adhere. Even gorilla glue did not work. I ended up putting screws into the Velcro to keep it on and I'm still not really wanted to pull it on and off very much because I'm afraid it will tear off.
