Scooter (white Leghorn bantam cockerel) again. He like the camera, but couldn't get good shots with the lighting in their half of the coop.
This is "Scooter". This cutie-pie lives with the Meyerbabies (although he's actually smaller than them even though he's about full-grown and their only 11 weeks old), because he is slightly lame (I'm convinced it's all in his head) and is picked on by the regular crowd, but he's not one of them. He's a tiny white Leghorn bantam cockerel, and is actually the son of "Mama". He was just a chick when I got them. He is THE SWEETEST chicken I have ever met. He considers me his mom, and will spend hours hanging out on my shoulder...wants to be near me or held all the time...he runs into my arms and cries when he's being picked on...he pulls these funny faces when I break out the camera LOL... I adore him.

"The Meyerbabies". These are from a Meyer Rainbow Pullet Pack, mail-ordered. Started with 27 (9 White Rocks, 4 Buff Orpingtons, 5 Rhode Island Reds, 4 Barred Rocks, 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes, and 2 Silver-laced Polish), down to 4.. YES, 4! They started dying a week after they got here and I lost one like clockwork every few days, until they were 4.5 months old. The remaining 4 (1 BR, 1 SLW, and 2 WRs) are now 5 months old. I contacted Meyer about the insane loss and they gave me store credit for a whole 2 of the 23 lost.. a whopping $3.98. They can take that and shove it, I'm never ordering from them again. I don't recommend anyone else does, either.
