This is last photo I have of Rosie, our Rhode Island Red. A raccoon got her that same night.
Our new girls, graciously gifted to us by a friend of my mother's who heard how we lost our Rosie. This is Sally Ride and Henrietta Lacks, both RIR, two-month old pullets. We're keeping them quarantined for a month before introducing them to the flock.

Our first four-egg day! Marie started laying again, after taking a month off for a slight molt.
She loves to peck at my shoes.
Marie is the most sociable and will come the closest to me.
Ada finally held still long enough.
