This was Maybelline (leg horn). She was originally Albert's girl but she passed away due to an engery. She was super sweet and layed the best eggs. The funny thing is when we first got her, I commented that she was ugly because she was skinny and had a really long neck- but she grew on me. Every day she would be by the fence waiting to see if I brought her, her usual treat. I miss her

This is Pearl, my lovely Silkie. She is very gentle and sweet a complete opposite her "man", Meryl our male Silkie chicken. We got the pair at another Farmer's market for $20. It kind of surprised me because these breeds are very expensive. Needles to say we soon realize why the young man was eager to sell them.

And soon Pearl is going to be a mother . :)

This was Agatha aka Granny, our Wyandotte chicken. We originally got her from the farmers market, and was kind of a rip off. I know that sounds mean but let me explain. We were there lookin for some more laying hens and we found and paid $14 for her. She turned out to be a really old girl on non-layer, the reason why she was called granny . But she was very kind and gentle and looked after Merry Weather (Cochin). After three weeks she passed away.

This is Albert my white Leg Horn Rooster. He was originally owned by my older cousin, Seth and who had planed on making him into chicken casserole. He asked If we would want him so we took him home, where he currently resides with 3 beautiful RIR's , 2 silkies, 1 cochin hen, and another leg horn
