This is Elmo and Lacey.One of my nieces named them.Elmo flew out of their box,off the counter. And then hit the wood floor. That was when he was 6 weeks old. He almost didnt make it.I keep him wrapped tight in a towel.And in a carrier with a heating pad.After 2 weeks we could put him in the sink full of water.And he could hold himself upright.From then on he got better day by day.Seems like he was a fighter from the start.He cant fly because his wing was broke next to his body.But he sure keeps the other ducks in line.Flappin his other wing and chaseing them across the yard.

The short story of the "FROZEN DUCKS". Meet April and Andy ...One day in Indiana it was very cold.So cold that water would freeze in 10 minutes .Well all the ducks just love to party.The City Chicks sent an invitation to drop by their coop.They was hanging out inside today.They had noodles and warm water.That Mom the maid had brought to them.So the duck gang went next door to visit and hang out with all their friends.Scarlet the hen liked to play jokes on the ducks.So she told them to check out the new hot tub. Mom the maid had brought them out from the house.....Now April and Andy were new to the duck gang.And they didnt know Scarlet would play a joke on them.So all the duck gang played and splashed and had a blast.Then it was April and Andys turn.By then it was getting late and the night was coming.After Andy got out April wanted to play some more.But she didnt know if the temperature got colder the water would turn to ice.So while she was just sitting in the water relaxing ...OH NO !!! IT FROZE !! All the duck gang was yelling at April"Get Out Get Out"But she couldnt she was stuck in the pan.The water had turned to ice.And she couldn't get out.But Mom the maid heard them screaming at April.She was running to see what happened.When she saw April stuck in the pan.She grabbed the pan and got April out.Wrapped the frozen April in her coat.And ran to the house.She was hollering at Daddy the banker to get her some towels.They wrapped her in the towels and blowed hot air on her.April knew Mommy the maid and Daddy the banker would save her.She felt the ice melting off her feathers.And started feeling warm again.Mommy the maid was so happy that she found her.And she knew she was going to be okay.Sissy the sitter brought Andy in to see her.He was scared when he couldn't find her.But he knew Mommy the maid would make it all better.So after April got warm.And It was time for bed.Mommy the maid took them back home for bed.After she tucked them in their nice warm bed.She dropped by the City Chicks coop to talk to Scarlet.Mommy the maid told her....If she ever did that again she would make her sleep outside.And Scarlet was so sorry that she played a trick on April.She promised she would never do that again.....The End
