When Rob's father finished building his house, he had some of these insulated forms left over. Very dense foam! We took these apart and used the foam to insulate our coop. We were amazed that it helped to keep the coop cool in the summer, and it definitely helped this winter when temperatures dropped to -28°C / -18°F

"Wait up guys!" This white meat bird can't keep up to the more dainty egg layers. We received 4 white meat birds from a school/classroom hatch. They were a few weeks younger and grew much faster than the egg-layers. We had to put them on a diet so their legs wouldn't break before we could prepare them for eating... These meat birds "waddle". Year 1: Fall 2013 - "Lady" is on the far right, with "Road Runner" to the left. The third was killed by a neighbour's dog. The dog charged at the coop/run and this hen flew right out the top and into the dog's path.
