    This spring they are moving to a tougher warmer in winter cooler in summer coop with a fenced yard with spire roof. This roof in the yard they are in now I have to knock snow off every storm. Slowly figuring out how to make things easier

The pvc must be good and level otherwise the water will overflow and make a mess. Sections of pvc can also be added later to provide more drinkers as you can see here and in the next pic. Be sure to make sure each section is level and support each section adequately as the chickens love to perch on the pvc section.

this is the setup in use, I didn't cement the 2" pvc cap on, it is only pressed on by hand, this makes it possible to clean the inside of the 2' pvc when it gets dirty. I cut a hole on each side of the cooler, ran the pvc pipe through the center and used silicone to seal around the pvc. I put a rubber mat and weighted it down with a couple of bricks to keep the water inside clean, the chickens love to climb all over this thing.

This is an old igloo cooler I found laying around. The hinge is broken but it will work fine. I used a little silicone to patch some cracks and holes.
