View from the SW corner. Again, you can barely see the playpen. The rolled plastic is our winter covering to wrap around the run.
Updated run. Added the branches in the corner, a few of the hens enjoy going up there for a look see. Half of the run is covered. I use a hanging feeder and a hanging waterer under the covered area. There are several logs and poles in the run for the hens to climb around on for exercise and boredom busters. My "playpen" is against that front wall - you can see the screen lid.
The hens have decided that the buckets on the ground make the perfect nesting areas. I've tried different set-ups but they would lay on the ground, in all the muck, instead.

Spring cleaning - Coop Interior April 2013 pallets weren't working well for the roost, these old sawhorses are perfect. the cardboard is my disposable covering for the insulation. I can change it out a section at a time as needed.
