Don't get rid of it It takes great photos. It would be worth seeking out to purchase now over the newer models. I have a cheapy camera and do a lot of editing. It's held together with a rubber band I even repaired the memory card. My camera has issues capturing certain colors especially reds Olympus SP-610 UZ. I learned on manual cameras and am not very technologically savy. I think the most important part of the digital camera is the sensor.
