    I really haven’t spent enough time watching them like I used to. I’m going to add some oyster shell in the area the sand is to see if she picks any up today. I have a chicken that’s going through molt in with them so the others don’t pick on her so it’s possible she’s avoided the OS because of her.

    No, they’re not first eggs. They’ve been laying for 6-7 months now. Their eggs are smaller than their mothers eggs were.

    They’re eating All Flock pellets and I supplement with oyster shell. It’s possible they may not have had enough oyster shell when the temps dropped last week. They also have access to sand.

    My many Pekin duck has started laying these odd eggs. This has only been happening for 2 days now. The egg is misshapen and has what appears to be calcium covering the small end. When I tap on it, it sounds more solid or thick on that end. Any ideas or suggestions? We’re about to have freezing...

    I need suggestions. One of my younger female pekin ducks has become constipated. I noticed last week that she was getting larger in the stomach but didn't pay attention to see if she was pooping until the other day. I've started soaking her in epsom salt water twice a day for the last 2 days...

    We have 3 pipped now out of the remaining 4 eggs. Countdown still at 2 days. Wish they’d hurry because the other is a bit lonely.

    Day 24 and we have a pip already. Lots of movement in that one too. I've upped the humidity and took out the auto turner. Any other suggestions?

    Day 8. Out of 11, I believe we have 6 good ones. I’m going to wait until day 10 and try the others again.
